Thank you very much for joining us for the CJGA Back to School Langara Open, taking place this Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Langara Golf Course in Vancouver, BC.
We are excited to welcome everyone to Langara and look forward to a great day of junior golf.
Please review the important tournament information, preliminary tee sheet details, and tournament rules below.

Please note that due to the number of entries within each age division, some groups may include players from different age divisions.
This is simply to create balanced groups and accommodate the overall field size. Players will still compete and be scored within their own respective age division.
The final official tee sheet for this weekend will be released on Wednesday, September 16.
Please make sure to review the final tee sheet once it is released, as starting times may change slightly.
We recommend arriving at least 45–60 minutes before your scheduled tee time to allow enough time for registration, warm-up, and preparation.
There is No Driving Range at Langara Golf Course
Tournament Format
All players in this event will compete over 18 holes.
Players should arrive prepared and ready to play at their assigned starting time.
Food & Turn Snack
When players make the turn after the 9th hole, a meal/snack package will be available.
Players may receive:

Sandwich or hot dog
-
One drink
-
One bag of chips
Please pick up your meal at the designated area when making the turn.
Putting Competition & Games
In addition to the tournament, we will have some fun activities available around the putting green.
We will be setting up two putting challenges/games, and all players are welcome to participate.
Details and instructions will be available at the putting green on tournament day.
U9 Golf Cart Policy
For the U9 Boys and Girls divisions, the player’s parent/caddie will be permitted to rent and operate a golf cart during the round.
Golf carts will be available through the Langara Golf Course Pro Shop and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Families requiring a cart are encouraged to arrive early, as cart availability is limited.
Caddie & Spectator Policy
Because Langara Golf Course has limitations on the number of people permitted on the course, each player may have a maximum of one accompanying person on the course.
This person may be either:

One caddie, or
-
One spectator
Additional family members and spectators will not be permitted to follow the group on the golf course.
Caddies are permitted on the putting green to assist players and help maintain pace of play. However, any assistance or discussion must remain efficient and should not unnecessarily delay play.
Players are expected to complete each stroke within approximately 40 seconds once it is their turn to play.
Please note that excessive coaching, prolonged discussions, or slow play may result in pace-of-play warnings and, where applicable, penalty strokes.
We encourage caddies to support players with quick decision-making and course management while allowing the player to remain responsible for their own game.
Pace of Play – Important
Pace of play will be a major priority for this tournament.
This is CJGA’s first event at Langara Golf Course, and maintaining an appropriate pace of play is extremely important to the golf course. A successful pace of play will also help determine our ability to host future CJGA events at Langara.
We ask all players and caddies to:

Keep up with the group directly in front of them

Be ready to play when it is their turn

Complete each stroke within approximately 40 seconds
-
Keep caddie-player discussions brief and efficient
-
Limit unnecessary delays between shots

Move promptly between holes
If a group falls behind:
First occurrence: The group will receive a pace-of-play warning.
If the group remains out of position: Tournament officials may begin individual player timing.
If an individually timed player exceeds the permitted time requirements, or if excessive coaching continues to delay play, penalty strokes may be applied in accordance with the tournament pace-of-play policy.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping us maintain a smooth tournament flow and a positive experience for all players.
CJGA BC Announcement
We will also be making an exciting announcement on tournament day regarding the future of CJGA in British Columbia.
Beginning in 2027, CJGA will establish a dedicated BC Operations Office in the Greater Vancouver area.
The BC Operations Office will allow us to provide more direct and timely local support to CJGA families,Our goal is to continue expanding CJGA’s presence in British Columbia and to make communication and tournament support easier and more accessible for local families.
